Nancy Burson's ( N A N C Y B U R S O N .com ) work is shown in museums and galleries worldwide including major exhibitions at The International Center of Photography and the New Museum in New York City, The Venice Biennale, The Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston, and The Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago. "Seeing and Believing", her traveling 2002 retrospective originating at the Grey Art Gallery, was nominated for Best Solo Show of the Year in New York City by the International Association of Art Critics.

Best known for her pioneering work in morphing technology, enabling law enforcement officials to locate missing children and adults, she has recently received media attention for her Human Race Machine, which allows viewers to see themselves as a different race. Currently there are several Human Race Machines touring the U.S. college and university market. As a photographer, writer, inventor, healer, and minister, Burson has lectured and taught worldwide, including a visiting professorship at Harvard and an adjunct position at New York University.

In the last few years she has collaborated with Creative Time and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council completing several important public art projects. These projects include the billboard "There's No Gene For Race" (see right) and the poster/postcard project "Focus on Peace." The LMCC's "Focus on Peace" project distributed 30,000 postcards and 7,000 posters around the site of the World Trade Center to coincide with the anniversary of 9/11.

Burson's current public art project, "Looking Up" (look up) is co-sponsored by the LMCC and Deutsche Bank and is located within the 60 Wall St. Atrium.

Burson's first text-based book, "Focus: How Your Energy Can Change the World", was published in 2004, and she has just completed her second book, "Lineage".
