"Think BIG and always believe in yourself."

James Cameron’s words inspired actress Julene Renee, who recently appeared in Avatar, which to date has grossed over two billion dollars worldwide and is now the most successful movie ever madeOther movie credits include The Polar Express, Beowulf, and A Christmas Carol.

Originally, Julene trained for the Olympics as a competitive gymnast, became one of Debbie Allen’s dancers for the Academy Awards, and continued to dance – from That Thing You Do with Tom Hanks to Jim Cameron’s Titanic, in which she had a featured dance role.

Julene’s sharp wit and comedic timing moved her into television sitcoms such ABC’s

Two Guys And A Girl followed by an improvisational comedy series with David Alan Grier, aptly called Random Acts of Comedy.

In her exciting and unique talk, which includes behind-the-scenes stories and visuals, Julene describes her work as an actress who plays multiple roles in The Volume, (the empty space in which all performance capture films are created), and how her combination of gymnastics, dance and improv background was instrumental in landing these roles. She also explains the technical side of how Avatar was made – in the volume as well as the live action 3D cameras. Everyone worked together to bring this film to life, and according to Julene, “Each person needs everybody and everybody needs each person.”
