Never in a million years did Karen Green imagine that her "coming out" story would be on national television. When LOGO, the new GLBT based cable network approached her, she was completely surprised. Producers of a new show, Coming Out Stories, wanted to bring real, live, coming out stories into the homes of America. No acting, no scripts, no make believe...the real deal. They wanted Karen's story for the pilot episode so if she decided to do this, Karen was to be their "guinea pig".

Faisal Alam is a 28-year old queer-identified Muslim activist of Pakistani descent. He is the Founder & former Director of Al-Fatiha, a US-based organization dedicated to supporting and empowering Muslims who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and those questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Speaking on many topics such as race, economic justice, and trans and queer issues. Ignacio is also currently performing Lágrimas de Cocodrilo/Crocodile Tears, which is an experience into a tale of survival via poetic monologues.

Jamison "James" Green is an internationally respected leader within the Transgender movement. A dynamic speaker and compelling writer, James has appeared in many documentary films, and received every major award given by the largest national transgender organizations. He is an acknowledged inspiration for thousands of people, transsexual and non-transsexual alike.

Gay Hate Crimes

Jack Levin, Ph.D., directs the Brudnick Center on Violence and Conflict at Northeastern University. In addressing hate crimes directed against gays and lesbians, Levin tells his audiences that, as a straight American male, he is a member of the perpetrators’ group and must speak from that perspective. He is very careful not to single out homophobic hate as an isolated phenomenon, but to imbed it in an analysis of hate crimes generally. Learn what the ordinary person can do to make things better.
