Nina
is a nutrition consultant and is in private practice at Mederi Health center in Denver, CO, where she joined Dr. Lee in the practice of nutritional medicine. She is trained in functional blood chemistry analysis, endocrinology and neurochemistry.  Nina also works with business owners, corporate executives, and busy parents across the country to restore their health, maximize their wellness and become strong in body, mind and spirit.

Stout is certified in health counseling by Columbia University Teachers College and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She will complete her Board Certification in Holistic Nutrition in summer 2011.   In addition, she is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  Currently, Stout works with the Men and Women’s Swim and Dive Teams at the University of Denver.

Prior to coming to Mederi, Nina founded and ran her own wellness center in Connecticut. She is a professional member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals, the American Association for Drugless Professionals (AADA), the Health and Fitness Provider Network, and USA Swimming’s Sports Medicine Network.

Nina had the honor of introducing the founder and director of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Joshua Rosenthal, to the incoming class of 2009 at Lincoln Center Avery Fisher Hall, and was a keynote speaker at Colorado Swimming's swim camp and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition Immersion Program graduation ceremony.

Nina Stout works with students and athletes to gain an edge over their competition and produce maximum results. She has been spotted in campus dining halls sampling the college fare and chatting with students about their meal plans and food choices. Coaches find this first hand experience helpful to their athletes, increasing Nina's ability to connect with the students.

Stout designs performance nutrition programs and teaches students how to eat the right foods, whether training for competition or cramming for a test. She also addresses the topic of energy/sports drinks, the importance of proper hydration and the negative effects of alcohol consumption on performance.
