He has had retrospectives of his films shown in Europe and South America and festivals created out of his work. Peter has two spine-tingling presentations: | ||
Internationally acclaimed producer/director Peter von Puttkamer has traveled the world over to meet and film the weirdest inventors and the strangest “Sci-fi science” around. His tales from the road and unique video footage take you inside the minds of the inventors. Puttkamer will also take on a journey with ordinary people on an extraordinary search: to find strange and bizarre creatures that science says doesn't exist. Blood-sucking alien vampires, Sasquatch, the Jersey Devil, sea serpents, giant tarantula spiders. You'll travel with teams of monster hunters, documenting their chase and the legends that precede them. From classified military labs in the New Mexico desert, to the world's top cloning facilities in Boston; from a hi-end sonar sea-serpent hunt off Canada's west coast, to a secret garage lab in Florida containing a new energy device that could change the world. These are not your average scientific expeditions or popular mechanics science projects. Find out why the government and powers-that-be don't want you to have some of the best new inventions around. He's climbed through ancient caves used for human sacrifice in Mexico, filmed sacred mask rituals of the North American Indians, chased Caribou herds on the Arctic Circle, hunted down Bigfoot, searched for a blood-sucking alien vampire in Puerto Rico, and even shared a meal of giant tarantula legs with blow-gun hunters in Venezuela. |
