About
Jamiel:
Jamiel Terry, “a child of movement royalty”, as the
Washington Post once called him, is the son of Randall Terry. Randall
Terry, an icon of the religious right, is the founder of Operation
Rescue, which led large-scale nationwide protests against abortion.
He is also an outspoken opponent of granting special rights to homosexuals,
and has championed the fight against same-sex marriage. Randall
thought his son’s homosexuality was something that he would
just have to overcome. Some very personal and life altering
moments in Jamiel’s life finally forced him to face his inner
struggle and accept himself for who he was.
Jamiel's
Mission:
It is Jamiel’s goal to help build an America where the Constitution
is truly applicable to all, and all are allowed life, liberty, and
the pursuit of happiness. He understands that many religious fundamentalists
cannot accept homosexuality as moral, and he does not desire to
change their beliefs. His goal is to educate others and live his
life in such a way that shows that we can live side by side in peace
and harmony..
